Boost homework help seeks volunteers and interns

At BOOST, we support lower secondary school students.

We are looking for volunteers, (former) teachers and interns from NHL-Stenden.
BOOST responds to the demand for extra support during the first years of secondary education. The aim is a successful and enjoyable school career especially for young people who cannot get homework support from home or could use a quiet place to do their homework.

As a volunteer you will support , once or twice a week, young people from lower secondary school. Sometimes in small groups often one-to-one.
Together, we create a quiet, safe place where young people are seen and heard. The young people themselves indicate what they need support with. This can be about getting an overview, learning to plan, help with school subjects and missing basic skills. And of course there is also room for personal attention, relaxation and sociability; a chat, a pat on the back and some fun.
